History Scotland, Scotland's premier history and archaeology magazine, is now available as a digital edition, meeting the growing global demand for the latest Scottish history and archaeology news.

History Scotland's Managing Editor, Matt Hill, said: 'The fantastic reaction to our digital edition and App has proved that there are thousands of people around the world with a passion for Scotland's history and heritage. Thanks to the technology, which allows you to read each issue on an iPad or iPhone, or on a PC or Mac, we now have many more readers from countries such Japan, USA and Canada, all of whom enjoy the in- depth articles written by Scotland's leading historians, archaeologists and curators.'
'We appreciate that different people require different formats and the traditional print version is delivered to thousands of readers in the UK and abroad, who can subscribe using our website or by calling our subs hotline.'
This is a great development! I was able to read a couple of editions of the History Scotland as I lived in Scotland at the time the magazine was launched. I really really liked it. Unfortunately, after returning to the States the worldwide subscription rate was a bit steep for me. The digital subscription price is much more manageable.  It foresee a new magazine subscription in my future.

with thanks to KSBowie.
