3 (yes, Three!) Fellowships in Scottish Diaspora Studies

Just posted: 3 fellowships/post-docs at the Scottish Centre for Diaspora Studies at the University of Edinburgh.

The deadline is quite soon, October 14th.

There are three two-year positions running from 1 January 2012 to 31 December 2013 which are funded by a grant from the Scottish Government (aka Team Scotland). Your research project must focus on the post-1945 period, either into or out of Scotland. This stipulation unfortunately leaves me out as my interests are firmly rooted in the the long 18th century. Actually, it leaves all of the Scottish Diaspora specialists I know out of the running.

The official vacancy announcement is here and further details are here. Informal inquiries may be directed towards Alex Murdoch, (Alex.Murdoch@ed.ac.uk) Acting head of the Centre or Tom Devine,  (T.M.Devine@ed.ac.uk) founding director of the Centre.
